10mm Bellcast Bead
10mm bellcast bead typically gets used to create a drip profile at the bottom of an external render system to ensure water is directed away from the render system to help prevent water ingress below the line where the render finishes.
We always recommend running bellcast beads horizontally at the bottom of external render systems since the 45-degree drip on the bottom of the bellcast bead ensures water running down the face of the render system is forced to drip off at this point. If a stop bead is used instead of a bellcast bead, water could run along the bead and come in contact with the wall potentially leading to damp issues.
This 10mm bellcast bead also helps to create a clean finish within a render system, where the render finishes at the bottom of a building. The 10mm bellcast bead is applied to the wall with adhesive / render and creates a mechanical stop that is rendered up to.
The 10mm bellcast bead is made from PVC and has a perforated 43mm wing which runs along the wall where the bead is going to be used. The 45-degree angle on the stop bead help create a tidy square finish at the edge of the external render systems. The bellcast bead also helps protect the edge of the render system against impact damage.
Since the 10mm bellcast bead is made from PVC plastic, there is zero risk of rusting.
The 10mm bellcast bead is 2.5m in length and available in 4 colours.
- 10mm white bellcast bead
- 10mm ivory bellcast bead
- 10mm light grey bellcast bead
- 10mm dark grey bellcast bead.
The 10mm bellcast bead also comes with connecting pegs which allow you to connect two lengths together if you are installing the bead over multiple stories.
